Hennepin County Commissioner Race District 2

E-mail Print PDF

Rolf Erickson of Plymouth is a Vietnam Veteran, a retired Meat Cutter and Butchers Union member, a former Hennepin County employee, and a professional tax appraiser currently contracted by five western Hennepin County municipalities. Rolf has pledged to cut his salary by 10%; Rolf made up his mind to run for county commissioner, because he knows first hand that the current Property Tax System is broken and needs major reform. Rolf has over thirty years experience as a Property Assessor, Rolf Erickson understands the importance of maintaining essential county service’s while at the same time holding the line on property tax increases in a bad housing market. Rolf told me that property taxes have risen while the average value of a home has decreased between 25-60%. That is why he is running on reforming property taxes RPT as he calls it.

Letter from CCHF's President

Will Government put you on a diet? This is no longer a silly question. New York City is planning to restrict the size of sodas and other sugary drinks sold in restaurants, movie theaters, delis, sports arenas and any other "food service establishment." If approved by the Board of Health, such drinks could not be sold in cups larger than 16 ounces.

Half of America is on the dole.  According to the U.S. Census Bureau, 49.1 percent of the American population lives in a household where at least one member is getting at least one government subsidy.  And many of these households likely receive more, including Social Security and Medicare.  This will only increase.  See graph below.

How are we as voters able to analyze and make choices on candidates running for elected offices when we know nothing about them or what they can bring to the table?

Does mainstream media give fair and balanced coverage allowing us the opportunity to make a formative decision?

How Many Hopes Were Dashed With The Job/Training Fair Held At Sabathani?

When I entered the Sabathani Community Center in south Minneapolis for the training/ job fair that was being held on Thursday April 3rd, 2014, I was surprised to see Al Flowers working the line of the numerous people that showed up offering advice and help as needed. Flowers is an expert at misleading the true outcome of these type of events. If he is talking about jobs he defiantly is blowing smoke up your ass.

Conspiracy Theory On Explosion Of Cedar Riverside Building In Minneapolis

Conspiracy Theory On Explosion Of Cedar Riverside Building In Minneapolis

Minneapolis has been an epic center for Al-Shabab recruitment. If the explosion that occurred on New Years day here in Minneapolis in the little Mogadishu area happened any where in the world other then here, all initial reports would have been asking to the possibility of some type of terrorist connection without knowing the facts.

Main Stream Media: Where Is The Follow Up/August 3rd, 2011
